Trym can't see my file or folder — why?+

Trym is sandboxed, so it can only access what you explicitly open, drop on the window, or pick in a dialog. If a recent file stopped opening after a move or rename, re-open it once via File → Open (or drop it on the canvas) to re-grant access. Batch mode works inside the folder you granted — re-pick the folder if you reorganized it.

Which export formats are supported?+

PNG, JPG, AVIF, and true vector PDF, plus preset bundles: Web @1x/@2x, favicon 16–512 with .ico and manifest, iOS image sets and app icons, Android density buckets and adaptive icons. WebP isn't supported yet — AVIF covers the modern-web slot with wider quality range.

What do I need for the AI assistant?+

The on-device provider needs macOS 26 with Apple Intelligence enabled. On any macOS 14+ Mac you can instead open Settings → AI and add your own API key for an OpenAI-compatible cloud endpoint — the key is stored in the macOS Keychain and requests go only to the endpoint you configure. Everything else in Trym works without AI.

How does batch mode work?+

Drop a folder of SVGs on the canvas (or pick it via File → Open). Trym shows the set in a grid, applies your palette remap to every file, and exports each one through the presets you select — with a per-file status badge so you can spot failures at a glance.

Where is the command-line tool?+

trym-cli runs the same export, codegen, and optimizer engine headlessly for CI pipelines. Availability alongside the Mac App Store build is being finalized — email dmytro@kontentapps.com if you need it for your pipeline today.

Which Macs does Trym 2 run on?+

macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer on Apple Silicon. The 2016-era Trym v1 remains a separate app; if you own a v1 license and have questions about it, email dmytro@kontentapps.com.
