FAQ

Common questions

What is Collectie?+

Collectie is a native macOS app for building private moodboards. You drag images, links, and notes from any source — websites, Finder, or other apps — and organize them into themed boards. Everything stays on your Mac and works fully offline.

Does Collectie sync to the cloud?+

No. Collectie is offline-first. Your moodboards stay on your Mac. There are no accounts, no servers, no tracking.

How is Collectie different from Pinterest or Eagle?+

Collectie is private and offline. Unlike Pinterest, your boards are not public and not used to train algorithms. Unlike Eagle, Collectie is intentionally minimal — built specifically for visual inspiration capture, not full asset management.

What macOS versions does Collectie support?+

Collectie supports macOS 10.9 (Mavericks) and later, on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macs.
